About Me
Hello Parents!
Thank you for your interest in my day home. Whether you are changing childcare or looking for day home care for the first time, I understand how hard the transition can be for both parents and children. Finding care that meets your child's needs and a provider that you can entrust your child to can be a challenging process. I look forward to the opportunity of discussing these two important needs. I believe it is very important for parents and providers to have an open and friendly relationship that meets the needs of all, especially the children.
My Family: Here is a little about my family and myself. I've been married to a wonderful Scottish man, my husband Barry for 15 years. We have two children, Ethan (11) and Skye (10) I've been fortunate to be working with kids all my life in various environments. This joy of working with children led me to open a day home.
We are a pet friendly home and have two senior cats. They mostly hide and sleep during the day. One puppy a small breed dog called a Shichon. His name is Ranger, he is very friendly and will often come out for pets or a cuddle and to visit the kids. :)
Values & Goals: As a Christian I bring to my business a strong love and respect for families and the belief that every child is a gift from God. Daily I aim to be organized, safe, and provide a loving family environment. My teaching focus is to help children develop life skills such as respecting others, sharing; using manners, following instructions, understanding what is personal responsibility, anger management and problem solving strategies. I feel these skills are critical for children to learn so that they have a good transition when entering school.
Emergency Preparation: My husband Barry makes sure he drops by to say hello and interact with the children if he’s home for lunch. So that in the unlikely case of an emergency where I needed help watching the kids he would be able to come home and be here for parent pick up and the kids would know him. My monthly emergency fire drills happen during day home hours. I have a couple of back up emergency locations we would be if for some reason we couldn't be at the house in an emergency. They are outlined in the contract.
I look forward to getting to know your child(ren) and family. Thank you so much for your consideration and time.
Sincerely Hannah
Wee Ones Sponser Child.
This is Freddy, He lives in Bolivia.
As an owner of a business, I felt I would
like to give back through sponsership.
We will be sending him letters and art from the kids. We will learn a few things about Bolivia and find it on the map. I just think it's nice for the kids to know about another child living in a different country and have an opportunity to be a part of their life.
